Join me for a relaxed 3-mile/5km stroll through York’s past. From Roman roads to railway lines, plague stones to ponds, and brickworks to boggy moorland — this easy-paced walk will explore how the geography of Tadcaster Road and Hob Moor has shaped its fascinating history.
Terrain: Mixture of tarmac and field paths, Hob Moor can be muddy after rain, so walking shoes/trainers or walking boots recommended
*Please note - no toilets on route.
Refreshments available at the beginning and end of the walk – Fox and Roman pub or Café at Number 12 or Post Office shop all on Tadcaster Road.
Parking – free on road parking on Cherry Lane and further down Cherry lane by the race course.
